Our life of poverty is as necessary as the work itself. Only in heaven will we see how much we owe to the poor for helping us to love God better because of them.
~Mother Teresa
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: But let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream. Amos 5:24
Bro Stef's View: The Bible asks the question, "how can we love God who we cannot see, if we cannot love our brothers who we do see?" 1 John 4:20 (paraphrased)
In James 2:1-9 we see that the Pastor of the Jerusalem Church, the brother of our Lord James, sets forth the Principal of how to treat all people and especially the poor. The way treat people is a clue to how "sold out" to Christ we may or may not be.
Our faith must be aggressive to reaching out to people around us. Faith is a verb, an action word in God's economy. If our faith does not move us to live out our love for God, then our faith is dead!
Mother Teresa makes a great point and we do owe the poor a debt of gratitude for how God uses them to teach us to be more like our Savior.
God Bless you in your search to live out your faith today!
Remember, the Lord loves us more than any of us will ever know. After all, He died and shed His blood for us and held nothing back! I hope you're not holding anything back... Give yourself to Him completely. You'll never regret it!

'But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet and the people are not warned, and a sword comes and takes a person from them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will require from the watchman's hand.' Ezekiel 33:6
But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. 1Thessalonians 5:1-6
“My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and utter lying divinations. They will not belong to the council of my people or be listed in the records of the house of Israel, nor will they enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Sovereign LORD. Because they lead my people astray, saying, ‘Peace,’ when there is no peace …” Ezekiel 13:9-10
