Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me. He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases.
Psalm 103:2-3
If you're like me, when you read the scripture above your first response might be, "Lord, but wait, I'm not healed?"
Your second response may be, "I know Lord that one day I will be healed."
The reason I personally picked up on the healing aspect of this scripture is because I suffer from chronic debilitating health issues. I would imagine that anyone who is suffering with any thing that is chronic in their life, will have a similar response with respect to that issue. It could be a chronic health, financial, relationship or spiritual issue, chronic is chronic no matter what it is and it can and will wear you down over time if it persists! There are things we can do to maintain our witness while suffering.
When we carefully examine the scripture above, there are some really helpful tips that I believe the Holy Spirit has for us. Let's look at them together.
Step 1 - Praise Him:
First, notice the Lord asks us to "praise" Him. Everything we do should be centered around praising the Lord. When we get out of our own heads and look to Him with praise in our hearts, the sting and pain of life can be easier to deal with. Knowing we are not alone, we are not in this by ourselves, the Lord is with us, the Holy Spirit is with us and He gives His Angles charge over us, we can praise His name! Praise the Lord.
- Psalm 146:2 - While I live I will praise the Lord; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being. (There is power the Lord imparts to us when we Praise Him!)
Step 2 - May I never Forget The Good Things He Has Done For Me:
If God did nothing for you and me after we put our faith in Yeshua, that would be enough. It's enough that God has guaranteed our eternal security through Christ for us. There is nothing more important than eternal life. But, God doesn't stop there, He becomes intimately involved in our lives and walks with us through every twist and turn that we will experience over a lifetime.
God is calling us to remember! Why? Why is it so important to remember the "good" He has done for us? It's really simple when you think about it. Think about it this way. Have you every had something happen in your life that really made you happy and when you think back on it, it puts a smile on your face and it warms your heart?
Call to memory those things that are positive that God has done, or the trails God delivered you from. These are important to remember because when life takes an unexpected turn and I can guarantee you it will, you have a well of encouragement to draw from. When the Devil whispers in your ear, God has forgotten you, when you're at your lowest, you can remember that God was with you back when and if He was with you then, He'll be with you now.
The Word of God puts it this way in Philippians 4:8...
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy--meditate on these things.
The Lord created us and He knows how we are wired. He knows what we think about and what is in our heart will guide our actions and behavior. Therefore, the Lord reminds us to, "meditate on these things." How do we guard our hearts, by what we put into our minds. If we meditate, to engage in devotional contemplation, especially prayer. To think or reflect, especially in a calm and deliberate manner, on the Word of God and talk with the Lord on a regular basis our hearts and minds will be filled with the likeness of Christ.
So Jesus said, "Are you also still without understanding? Do you not yet understand that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and is eliminated? But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies. ~Matthew 15:16-19
Step 3: He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases:
So, after we have praised the Lord, remembered all He has done for us, now we can rejoice in the knowledge that we are forgiven and all of our diseases will be healed. When Yeshua went to the cross He died for all our sins past, present and future, everything! His work was complete in every way.
Our chronic illnesses and issues in life may not yet be completely healed and removed from us, however, the day is coming when all of us who labor and are heavy ladened will finally and completely find rest and healing, permanently, in Yeshua our Messiah! Oh what a great day that will be to see our beloved Lord face to face and to know once and for all His love, mercy, grace and protection!
At that time Jesus answered and said, "I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and have revealed them to babes. Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight. All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him. Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light." Matthew 11:25-30

'But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet and the people are not warned, and a sword comes and takes a person from them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will require from the watchman's hand.' Ezekiel 33:6
But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. 1Thessalonians 5:1-6
“My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and utter lying divinations. They will not belong to the council of my people or be listed in the records of the house of Israel, nor will they enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Sovereign LORD. Because they lead my people astray, saying, ‘Peace,’ when there is no peace …”
