God Still Answers Prayer...

So last night we shared that our air conditioning went out and that we were having a repair person come out and fix it. I first prayed over our air conditioning units in June and asked God to get them through the summer. He had a different plan. Now that they broke down, last night I prayed silently once again and asked the Lord to please help keep the cost down to a reasonable amount and I said to Him, Lord under $1500 would be really helpful. Karlyn asked more specifically for under $500. She trusts God for more than me at times.

So the repairman comes out today and he proceeds to tell us that the costs to install a new air conditioning unit would run us about $20,000 for both conditioners and around $10,000 for the downstairs. They’re 16 years old. Karlyn and I looked at one another and said no way. He said what do you mean no way? I told him, my wife and I at our Bible study group last night and we prayed and asked the Lord for His help and we believe it will cost far less than that. We told him we loved the Lord and He would take care of the situation for us. The guy says okay let’s see…

Long story short… Total cost $495.00.  $5 less than Karlyn asked for and $1005.00 less than I asked for. Is God good or what? In one moment He answered both our prayers and gave us more than we had asked for! Adversity is a funny thing isn’t it? At first glance we wonder, well that prayer didn’t go very far. Then on the other hand, God gives us an opportunity to exercise our faith through a problem so that we can witness His goodness for us. Amazing isn’t it?

We also found out that the repairman is a Christian and needs fellowship. I think I’ll ask Karlyn to invite him and his wife to life group when he comes out again next week. I have to tell you 77 degrees never felt so good.

He never ceases to amaze us and He never gives us more than we can bare. We love the Lord and thank Him for caring about everything in all of our lives! He cares for you too…

This is really a very good topic which reminds me of Finland country on providing the high quality of their air conditioning that i never been seen in my whole life.
